Howdy folks, it's been a little while since I posted some pics. Yesterday, during a damp, drizzly and dim evening I ran into a couple of the locals.

I knew Bambi's Mom didn't die! Good pan and catch on the last one.

Very cute, the last one is great, maybe just a tiny bit more contrast?

Such a lucky sighting. I'm envious. You captured them well.

Bambi's Mom was on hyper-alert while I was there. I was about 50 ft away, and they were both ready to bolt at any moment.

Thanks, I would have liked more contrast, but I had to pull it back a bit in order to keep enough subject/background separation.

Thanks, Bob. I've gotten several DIFs over the years, but this is by far the best. Gotta keep trying...

Thanks, deer are plentiful here in northwestern NJ. Too plentiful. I see them at least one a week Spring thru Autumn, although they are not always accommodating for portraits.

Thanks, they are beautiful until you hit one with your car, which unfortunately is a common occurrence in my neck of the woods.

Wonderful shots. The last one is really something but only because it is something you just don't see everyday much less capture.

Just too good for words! Even Otis commented...."why can't you do that?" I wish I could, they are excellent! On top of that I enjoyed every one!
