There seems to be a shortage of squirrels..........
Lens: 55-300 Camera: K 5
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 07-22-2012, 06:39 PM

.........and I met a bunch of them this summer that all claim to be kin to Otis and are more than willing to migrate to warmer climes.

This one I don't trust to be kinfolk but he said don't let the looks fool you I am what they call a 13 lined ground squirrel, soo......?

These here like the first one live in Waterton and wouldn't mind moving at all:

The next ones live in the West Canal area and are a bit better of than the ones in Waterton but still......

This one showed me that he was fearless and would fit right in as a soldier.

This one just wanted a better house

This one was very nosy, don't know whether he would fit in.

Now here is a real pretty one, Otis might want to have a look if he has to start a new colony.

comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Great series of photos.

I sometimes wonder what a total stranger would do if he/she browsed this website. They would no doubt be wondering what the close connection is of squirrels to Pentax users.

Great shots, Heinrich. If these guys are relatives of Otis, watch the silverware.

Thank you for the comments. Maybe they'd realize that it takes top line cameras (PENTAX) to shoot squirrels.

Take care.

Hi Bob and thank you, once in a while one has to do a few things on the lighter site. That first one is actually a "13 lined ground squirrel", who ever came up with that description I think could have done better.

Take care,
