Originally posted by Bob Harris wonderful captures Heinrich, you really got some great light on the birds, great color too.
Thank you Bob, the bluebirds would have been better without direct sunlight but such is life.
Takr care,
Originally posted by Cee Cee great shots Heinrich, some interesting, colourful birds TFS. You have done well with the swallows, if they are anything like what we have here, I sometimes spend 20min or so standing in the middle of the park while they zip all around me but I can't even keep one in the frame, let alone take a shot.
cheers
Thank you Cee Cee and you are totally right with the cliff swallows. These were nesting (there must have been a thousand) under a bridge over water, no way to get a static shot and they are either at the nest or in the air. Don't ask about percent of keeper shots.
Take care,
Originally posted by slowpez Lovely series Heinrich. I'm especially fond of the bluebirds but the robin really looks very handsome. Great job on capturing the swallows. As CeeCee says, not an easy job.
Hi Susan and thank you, I had fun chasing them.

Hi Dave, the blue birds were feeding young, I took these no more than 15" from a nesting box.
