Some of my feathered friends from Waterton Lakes Ntl. Park
Lens: 55-300 Camera: K 5

Singing in the rain......a Red-Winged Blackbird. (male)


A Bluebird (male)


A Bluebird (female)


A Pine Siskin


A Robin


A Tree Swallow


A Horned Lark


The Cliff Swallows wouln't pose for me so I shot them in flight.

wonderful captures Heinrich, you really got some great light on the birds, great color too.

great shots Heinrich, some interesting, colourful birds TFS. You have done well with the swallows, if they are anything like what we have here, I sometimes spend 20min or so standing in the middle of the park while they zip all around me but I can't even keep one in the frame, let alone take a shot.

Lovely series Heinrich. I'm especially fond of the bluebirds but the robin really looks very handsome. Great job on capturing the swallows. As CeeCee says, not an easy job.

Again well done Heinrich the blue bird looks like the blue bird of happiness. Nice shots and classifications.

Thank you Cee Cee and you are totally right with the cliff swallows. These were nesting (there must have been a thousand) under a bridge over water, no way to get a static shot and they are either at the nest or in the air. Don't ask about percent of keeper shots.

Hi Dave, the blue birds were feeding young, I took these no more than 15" from a nesting box.
