K10D- Very First Shot
Lens: Sigma 55-200mm Camera: K10D Photo Location: SW West Australia ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F6.7

Moments after replying to Cee Cee's thread I walked out the back door and this Black Cockatoo was on the washing line. Just got my K10 and this is the first shot, would've preferred if he was in a tree instead of on a manky old washing line!

Thanks all! They, I discovered, are coming for the cherry plum pips and crack them open to get the pith, we have 3 trees that all dropped their load in high winds so they will be back and I will be prepared!

He's a little dark on my screen but looks to be quite a nice shot otherwise. Hope you are able to get a few more.

Hmmm...thanks, I just got a new laptop and it is led making everything bright and crisp to my tired old eyes, I will need to look at it on my old one as I am about to process a lot of photos, you probably just saved me a lot of work!

My eyes are probably older than yours so I would definitely get a second opinion.

It's dark. Compare the brightest bits of sky to the white page background (if you're using the old PF stylesheet). But also a very nice shot, clothesline and all.

Have a chance at an outing with a well known local pro in a couple of weeks, better read the manual, initial feeling is I will marry this camera, manual is my preferred shooting method and I got lazy with the K100D and program modes, now I have to THINK before I shoot.
