Here we go again.Severe weather is heading to the East and will be in the Boston area around 9-12PM.They usually fizzle out as they near the coast but it does make one pay attention. As of right now this is the top story on the "Weather Channel".Maybe I'll get my first decent lightning shot and live to tell about it.---charliezap

They are going to have to change the name "Tornado Alley" from Oklahoma to your area Charlie, stay safe.

Careful out there, Capn. This is some year; where I grew up in Illinois (about 60 miles east of St. Louis), it has been far hotter than here in coastal Texas - now that's a switch.

That same line of storms hit us ~4pm this afternoon. The most wind damage I've seen around here in 20 years. Actually couldn't get to work this afternoon as there were hundreds of trees down across the road (70mph gusts).

Of course I neglected to take any shots with my P&S as I was concentrating so much on driving around/over trees - shame on me!

We dodged a bullet in the Boston area. Not any action and less than 1/4" of rain.--charliezap
