Yellowstone, the Lamar Valley

The valley is lush in green at this time of year, a very popular area to view wildlife as the weather cools.

It had rained a couple of days before visiting the park and everything was so green and beautiful.

viewing this area through the viewfinder, the color seemed surreal to me. How can anything look so lime is what I thought. thanks Jer for the kind review.

Is that a hole in the ground? Never been to Yellowstone before but from this shot, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

the valley was carved out by a huge glacier and those are actually scrapes/holes left as it pushed by, this is a place you must visit one day. thanks Bob

Dave, we were there 5 years ago in September and this valley had a herd of buffalo of about 200 and lots of elk in the area too. Quite a sight to see.
