Nice shots! Here in Jonesboro GA we have a fine native population of these little guys. Watching the males display with their inflated scarlet throat sacs is a real treat.

Thanks. I'm between the small towns of Camilla and Newton Ga. I've got a adult pair of these living in my shed. This one was a really small young one that was on some bushes that buffer my property from a farm field.

Truly small town living! I lived in Vidalia for eight years while I was director of the library system there. I remember taking the road from Baxley toward Savannah, straight as a string, punctuated by logging trucks, and the occasional snapping turtle. We stopped for a snapper once and I demonstrated to daughter Becky, about eight at the time, why you never ever want to get your hand close to the head! That bad boy snapped a thumb-sized fallen branch like a match stick!

Good areas for wild life shooting, I miss that here in suburbia.
