Thanks everyone for the compliments.

I have been shooting from the Kayak lately and using the currents of the river to drift into the spots where these birds are. Now, even with the Kayak it is still tough to get close to these guys, the only ones that seem to cooperate are the heron's - as long as you don't make any sudden moves in the kayak the heron's will let you go about your business and do your thing. The Osprey that is in the nest is actually an oddity right now, for some reason that one (and it's sibling) has not started to fly yet (possibly late hatchers) - I was pretty certain that going into this past weekend that they would be flying but for some reason have not started to fly yet. For me, right now the Kingfisher's are the ones giving me the most problems, the shot above of that king is the closest I have ever been able to get to one and I was still not close enough. This weekend the kayak will be fully camouflaged and converted into a moving blind and I will anchor up at different places along the river where I know the king's are and try and get some "fishing & feeding" shots of them.
Again, thanks for all of the comments everyone...
