Nice series Tom I love the fox one - a tighter crop would be nice I think. The last one is neat but a little OOF I think. I like #3 and #4 as well. Good Job.

Thanks dave, I'm not real good at wildlife photography but I'm going to keep at it Faster shutter speed would help me a lot, I think a clean high iso camera body would be hard to resist IYKWIM

Color on the fox shot is great.
I would agree, a tighter crop would be good, though not so tight as you would lose much of the surrounding context. The frosted vegetation add a lot to the shot. A little off the top and a little off the right might do it justice.

Thank you all for your comments, and I agree clarence I cropped him as much as I could without getting that nasty digital look and the image wasn't sharp enough- I was parked on a curve on a narrow road and had to hurry. I'm going to keep the camera on the seat next time

Wow!

Looks like you had a far more productive weekend than I did.

I have a feeling you'll be spending a fair bit of time near the eagles' nest over the coming months. I can't wait to see all the shots!

The shot of the diving Downy is better than any I've been able to get. Many bird movements can only be witnessed using a camera as they happen faster than the eye can follow. Neat stuff.

Thanks james and tom, I'm lucky that the eagles are pretty active near my house (about 30 min.
away) and they are at where I work some but there is construction keeping them away. My wife thinks they are ugly and likes the small birds, I like 'em too but they are so hard to get with manual focus. I'm keeping my eye out for a deal on the pentax af adapter at a decent price (like thats going to happen)
