Beddgelert, Snowdonia
Lens: Sigma 18-50 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Beddgelert Aperture: F11
Posted By: bychan, 08-01-2012, 03:22 PM

Some images taken from and around the beautiful village of Beddgelert, located within the Snowdonia National Park.
The lake is called Llyn Dinas (Dinas Lake), and is associated with the legend of King Arthur

"Legend states the lake to have been the site of a battle between Owein, one of Arthur's greatest warriors, and a giant. According to legend, Vortigern is said to have hidden the throne of Britain beneath a great stone by Llyn Dinas"

Thanks jaytee, no HDR work on any (all down to the amazing sensor in the K5 and Lightroom 4.1).

Very nice... looks like where I live, accept not being in the old country, we have no cute stone "cottages" or old stone bridges. And our legends from the people who lived here in Arthur's time, are long forgotten. It's a poor people who don't know the legends of the country they live in.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Fries, not sure about the lake, but the river is popular for salmon and sea trout fishing.
