My best impression of a bird photographer...
Posted By: -=JoN=-, 01-27-2008, 09:22 PM

This was a few weekend ago, finally got some free time to go shoot the DA* a bit, (and was also testing a Sigma 28-200)

I was trying to get a few snaps of this lil bugger....

when I hear these guys flying over head

(the geese were shot first)

anyway, i had my settings set for the squirrel when I heard the geese flying up top, so i just pointed the k10 w/ the da* mounted, focused, and snapped. I got 2 shots off (one was just sky, and a partial wing) but that one was pure luck.....

who said the K10 cant focus fast... isnt the sharpest, but as you can see, there were branches between myself and the birds....and my setting were not meant for them...(didnt have time to press the green button..)

here's another shot of another squirrel much later

and a shot of a couple of squirrels when i had the sigma mounted

TFL
Hope someone enjoyed...

Thanks for sharing Jon - I like the shot of the "tree rat" (to quote another forum member ) coming around the edge of the tree. And, nice capture of the Canada Geese through the tree branches.

Nice shots! - especially #3. I like how the light falls on the squirrel and tree in that pic.

Great color also!
