Vehicles in my street
Posted By: hooppjs, 01-27-2008, 09:35 PM

Hi all,
Melissa and I were returning from an Australia Day long weekend jaunt, and we saw these beasts in the street. What have you seen in your neighbourhood?

Great shots BTW and very interesting!

Not sure. Maybe the driver did not want to pay for the red E deal ticket from Qantas, Perth - Sydney. Instead, one shall build a rocketship that will do the Nullabor Plain.

No wonder the movie Mad Max was shot "down under". That truck is crazy. I'm going to assume that he's delivering those engines and that they are not installed in the truck.

At least the guy with the boat is honest!

Cool shots, my neighbourhood is downright boring compared to this!

I don't know Peter, the gas cylinder is there, behind the coil tubing.
The tailgate is set to down
And those jet engines seem to be anchored.

Me thinks hooppjs is right.

the truck seems to be for show, because there are a couple fo technical flaws.

First, the back of the truck shows what appear to be the compressor from a real turbine. If so, the only way this truck will move in a hurry is backwards.

Second, the the flex conduit for air inlett is just too small if this is a real jet, and not streight enough. the bends will cause significant restriction of air.

Unless I am mistaken, about all he might do with this is blow flames out the back for effect,
