We Almost Lost Otis!
Camera: Fuji X10 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F2.8

I looked out my office window, and there was Otis, scoping out a new and forbidden plant. I guess his last victory over Mrs Rupert gave him some false confidence that he could get away with anything.

Sneaky little devil....
[IMG] [/IMG]

I knew it was only a minute or so before he would be munching on those tender leaves.....
[IMG] [/IMG]

The I saw him duck for cover, at the same time I heard the hammer pull back and click on Mrs Rupert's pistola....
[IMG] [/IMG]

Like a Marine drill instructor, she hollered out "Drop to the deck and spread them you little stinking rat!"
.....and he did! No one said Otis was dumb! He knew it was all on the line!
[IMG] [/IMG]

Naturally, I intervened just in the nick of time......but explained to Otis, I may not always be around to save his little Squirrely butt!

Regards! ...Never a dull moment around here!

I'm truly glad that there is SOMEONE who Otis respects or at least fears. I was beginning to think that he was unstoppable.

If Mrs. Rupert does have that power over Otis let us always hope she remains benevolent.

(Thanks Rupert, I always enjoy the Otis sagas)

And here I was expecting pictures of you and the Mrs taking Otis on an outing with him sneaking off some where to have his own adventure.
Little could I imagine this was much more of a Dirty Harry picture with the Mrs shouting "go ahead punk, make my day".

Funny as heck! That is one chubby squirrel! Great shots!
I just realized that's the same plant I have hanging in my office! No wonder Mrs. Rupert was upset ! Those are great plants! Ours is 42 years old! KEEP OUT Otis!

Sprinkle left over squirrel helper liberally around the plants as a deterrent. That should do it. At least put the posters up.---charliezap

Another hilarious saga in the life of Mrs. Rupert and Otis. I think you should make a movie or at least write a book.

These sagas would be quite good in the form of one of those photobooks you can make on-line.

A king among rodents who reigned over a large army of squirrels. Their fight against the evil Mrs. R was touted throughout the land as the most memorable battle of the century. (Sorry Mrs. R.)

Well, we've got the introduction written, now we need all the photos Rupert has taken and transcripts of all the stories.

Next year, the major motion picture. (Filmed using a K-5 of course.)

Don't open this unless you crave viewing lots of handsome Squirrels! Five pages and that is just a starter...... Festus & Friends - a set on Flickr

Glad you guys have enjoyed Otis' misadventure......He was out and about this morning but didn't get near Mrs Rupert's plants. I think the prospect of being the key ingredient in Squirrel Helper was a wake up to Otis.

A little fun....you have to admit, there is too little in this world....glad to see that some still have a good sense of humor for a little nonsense! You can always count on Otis for nonsense.....as long as he doesn't get too cross with Mrs Rupert!

Best Regards!
Rupert
