Leaving Glacier NP Montana, headed ....
Posted By: Bob Harris, 08-08-2012, 04:04 PM

slowly to the Grand Tetons in the am. We should be there in about 2 weeks, lots to see before getting there on our continued travels. Shown are different areas of Glacier, sort of our last tour of this beautiful National Park.

Spectacular landscapes, old buddy. Remind me of the name of the lake in the first shot.

thanks so much for taking a look here Jer, that is Saint Mary Lake, the second largest lake in the park. In the winter it completely freezes over, ice is up to 4 feet deep. It does get cold up here.

Stefan, in pic #3, that appears to be a glacier, but it is actually a huge chunk of snow that hasn't completely melted from the winter, now that is what I call snow pack.

Seems like each individual mountain here has its own personality Charlie.

That #4 is a classic, a wall hanger for sure. Looking forward to seeing the Tetons.
That's a great gig you have going. I'd love to cruise North America for months,

Heading to the Tetons huh? I was going to post a little preview for you but decided against it. Should be beautiful this time of year. Hope the "girls" lift their skirts for you. Nice parting shots of Glacier.

Spectacular... what else can I say. Amazing... never seen anywhere like it in my experience. I am looking forward to seeing your photo journal to Tetons Bob. We are leaving on the 12th for a two week canoe trip. When we get back you will be in Tetons. I hope we can swap some travelogue stories and photos. Thanks for sharing this amazing landscape.
