CC on Wife's Portrait
Posted By: camperguy01, 01-28-2008, 07:14 PM

I'm in the process of learning off camera lighting and would appreciate some honest opionons on a couple of pics of my S.O. I'm looking to improve so don't be afraid to be honest.

#2 is a b&w version and intentionally overexposed in some areas. In addition to CC, I'd also be interested to hear which version you prefer.....

Thanks in advance for helpful replies -

There's not much to improve upon here... the framing works, the lighting is good... the expresson sets an interesting mood...

the sharpness on the eyes and face is phenominal and the DOF is adequate....

What else can be said?? Excellent!

BTW: what was your setup for this shot?

Thanks much for the kind words - appreciate it.

Shoot thru white satin umbrella at a 45 degree angle from right. White reflector on the left. Backlight pointed to the background.

I have to agree, nothing to change. For this style of lighting you pretty much nailed it. Nice shot of your lovely wife.
