Sitting on the edge of Mt Rundle
Lens: Tamron 17-50 Camera: kx Photo Location: banff ISO: 100

Yesterday we climbed Mt Rundle. Weather forecast was a bit hit and miss to start with possibility of lightning. However after reching the dragons back we were in the clear. Great scramble - 8hr round trip. Huuuuge cliff over the other side. So surprised no one has wing suited off this! Today my legs are extremely sore!

Well deserved beer. Looking down down down

And finally, a shot from a distance 2 nights earlier. Next up Cascade mountain.

I have vertigo, great pics and the tonemapping works a treat on the last one. You wouldn't want more than one beer for the climb down!

haha yes one beer was plenty! There is a section on the way down that is only 10ft wide with cliffs on either side. Although it is relatively safe it is on an angle. One false move and you could easily tumble off.

calculator01 - Why do you hate Banff? Banff is crazy on the weekends in Summer but us locals tend to stay away from that madness.

These could easily have been taken from an airplane you were up so high. Enjoyed the series and the last one of your next journey is awesome.

Sorry I guess I shouldn't have written "next up cascade mountain." Cascade is another mountain near this. This is a shot of Rundle. The one we did climb

Great shots. I must admit, I've been wanting to do this hike as well, but seeing the cliff edge like that certainly gives me second thoughts!

I can't stand the crowds of tourists. Whether it be jammed with people in the summer, or jammed with people in the winter, I can just never win

Definitely a beautiful wilderness, but the people...

And then there are the tourists (and some locals) who think it is okay the approach the "wildlife".... Sigh
