Hawk shots have always been elusive for me. There don’t seem to be a lot of them in my area and those that are tend to be very shy. I came across what I believe to be a Sharp-Shinned Hawk today as he was hunting in a local field. He flew off every time I got out of my car so I was forced to hand hold my 400mm as I shot through the sun roof. Not ideal of course but it seemed to be the only way to get the shot.
