So your 50-135mm hasn't taken over as your "go to" lens? Was there a big battle between the two to see which one would win? I love looking at your pictures, but it seems our company (to remain unnamed) has blocked smugmug because it thinks it's an "online file sharing" site  So I have to catch up on your posts when I'm at home (which I am at now listening to my piano being tuned, oh glorious day!) | |

The 50-135 is a stellar lens with a great working distance for people portraits, but the minimum focus distance is about 1 meter. I often find myself having to scoot back to lock focus. With dogs, I usually have to get close to get them to sit, stay and look where I want them to look. If I'm too far away, the want to come forward and give a lick. So, the Tamron provides just the right qualities for these types of doggie shots. | |
