This is a image of star trails over Lika, mountains region in Croatia. It is a 4080 seconds long exposure, single image, without noise reduction or dark frame substracting. Camera was pointed to the north. Unfortunately, due to my recklessness I have missed a focus by bit so landscape is not perfectly sharp.
I went with my local astronomy club to check some observing location and to estimate how dark sky they have. Here, in southern Lika, we have found very dark sky (for European conditions) with minimum of light pollution domes near horizon. Sky Quality Meter was reading 21.75 at zenith but local observer said that we had expirienced only average conditions and that there nights with even better conditions.
