At one of the biggest fairs we have here the Calgary Stampede (it was the 100th anniversary), Garth Brooks came to play. A lot of us tried to get tickets , but he sold out the Saddledome in about 58 seconds so the story goes.

To protest this (or compensate) my wife and I decided to throw a Garth Brooks party. It was a cowboy affair with lots of people , food , games , projector and big screen DVD show of Garth outside, prizes and oh yeah lots and lots of alcohol

It was a great time and I think we'll do it again,

Let's start off with the decorations ...

The lovely Mrs Daacon and her sister and a friend

Don't know how this fellow got in

Sister in law

What's a party without some Beer Pong !

Big Screen playing some Garth with my daughter and her roommate

Super Sonic Gin and Tonics were the drink of choice

Yeeeeeee Haw it was a good time Lots more pics but ya get the idea eh.

You Canucks sure know how to throw a shindig, I bet Garth would of loved to have been there, but I heard rumors he will see you in Las Vegas.

Now that's a party!....... Otis was even envious, and Otis knows how to party! Some pretty nice shots of it too, you really caught the essence of a good time!

Thanks Jer - well here's the recipe (no actual measurements , Karen just adds to taste )

Gin (Blue Saphire preferred)
1 Can Concentrate Limeaid
Tonic Water
Roses Lime Cordial
Ice
Throw it all in the Blender until ice is crushed and then add more of the above to taste !
Can also add fresh squeezed Lime or more Gin
