The Snake River runs through and divides the city of Idaho Falls east to west. Although you don't have the beautiful single falls that we love to photograph, this is a drop off of about 1/2 mile long that has a series of falls from 5 to 15 feet. The city has built a beautiful greenbelt on both sides of the river and a great place to take a 2 mile stroll, the LDS Temple can be seen on the west side in photo #4

Another great series of shots. Seems like a lot of serene beauty in that area.

thanks for looking, we enjoyed our travel through the city, i read where it has a population of about 55,000, but it didn't really seem that big to us. I enjoyed the historic district and we had a great Mexican dinner at Jalisco's.

I have photos of those same falls Bob and of a marmot who wanted to be friends (I gave him Rupert's address.) You are right, it is a great area.

You see some beautiful sights, Bob! Another great group of shots. I love the one with the building in the background. Great depth and perspective!

Agreed. Beautiful set of shots.

If you haven't left the area yet there is a quaint little candy shop called Sarah's Candy Cottage just up the street from that area. Each of their truffles take three days to make and their huckleberry fudge is to die for.

I am supposed to be on a diet, but we are going back into the city in about 5 days, so will take a look, thanks for the tip.
