I'm no expert, but I think that's a hornet.
Tweetie - interesting choice as the name of a cat. Short for Tweetie Pie, by chance?

No matter what you call it, I think it is a great photo. The screen gives a very interesting feel, great job.

Thanks, folks! One of my daughter's photos a while back tipped me off to the possibilities of through-the-screen shots. Take this as a testament to the "relax on the porch with a cold one & camera handy" technique. ;~)

Indeed l did. I'm not sure this is a great sample of the lens's special qualities but I'm sure it made for a better photograph.
