To those who get those great motorsport shots I see here from time to time, my hat is off to you. This is difficult photography. I shot two 4 gig cards and got very few keepers. Conditions were such that I could not pan with the cars because I was shooting between openings in the tarp they have set up to prevent the non-paying public (me) from seeing the race. Therefore I either got a blurred car with sharp background or upon bumping up the shutter speed to 1/1200 I get a pretty sharp shot of a car that looks like its standing still, ie. parked and there is no fun in that.

I've attached a few to give the feel of the event. I got lucky and captured the red car losing it in turn #1. Funny, but I didn't even see it happening but noticed later while reviewing shots.
