How many varieties of orchids did you find so far? These are such amazing plants. Thanks for sharing them.

Only about a dozen so far, there are 413 cataloged in the south west, they are really hard to spot. The area I am getting these snaps is a very bland and ordinary bit of bushland and at first glance and even solid look you would swear there is nothing there! Other kind enthusiasts have gone to the trouble of marking some and even staking them with labels. Unfortunately I found several spots robbed, people have been digging them up!

They are supposed to take cameras, not shovels.

AFAIK they won't survive anyway, too delicate.
