Icelandic Horses

We've recently returned from Iceland. There are lots of horses everywhere you go. We pulled over at a few stops to see what we could get. This is the best of the lot, as they don't hold still for very long, and mostly keep their heads down in the grass. These pictures were taken near the town of Hella in the south central part of the Island, which is very flat.

Nice series. Beautiful landscape as a backdrop too. The last one is really nice.

Thanks for the comments. Iceland is a great place to photograph because of its scenery, but another reason is the wonderful lighting. The sun never gets too high in the sky so you get this warm, soft light all day.
