Is that a Praying Mantis on a leaf I see?
Lens: Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Perth, Western Australia

Otis put that plastic mantis out as a decoy while he robbed your birdfeeders. It's a trick all the neighbors around here are familiar with.

I don't know what it is about this picture. I'm not a dog person, but something about it makes me keep looking at it. It's so cool! Did you do any kind of unusual processing on it?

Nice...sharply focussed. The DOF is a lot larger than I would have thought.

Wonderful image... it is the dogs eyes that grab the viewer. Did you realize the mantis was there when you shot it?
