New images, old places...
Lens: Samyang 8mm Camera: Pentax K-7 (IR modified)
Posted By: karma mechanic, 09-10-2012, 06:41 AM

Just lately the only time the sky has had the sort of clouds I like is when I'm unable to actually take any pictures.
However, I've managed to get out a couple of times. I only ever seem to use the 8mm now, usually with stitching to get an even wider view.

Enjoy!

Small detail selected from a 360-degree pano - the full 360 was a bit cluttered:

Both the above are individual images from some attempts at a full 360 degree stitch, but due to wind blowing the grass and me teetering on a steep slope the stitching wouldn't work...

If the sky is no good then there's always the inevitable gravestone and ivy - a single 8mm shot from a few inches away:

Great selection of images. Enjoyed them all but the second one stood out for me.

I agree with Paul. My favorite images are 1 and 2. You did very well with the IR treatment. Thanks for sharing these.

Thank you!

Image 2 above was always intended to be part of a wider shot made of three images. The result covers 250 degrees vertically so from just in front of my feet to somewhere behind me - it nearly gets the horizon behind me in. Does it work... not sure... but fun anyway

I had to Google that... but no, it is a monument to a horse: The "Horse Monument" - Farley Mount Country Park

LOL, now that I take a moment, that monument is nothing like Mad Jack's - except for the pyramid shapes!
