Texas Sage in Bloom

Our Texas Sage was in full bloom last week, so I took advantage of some nice lighting one morning & got these shots. It will bloom several times during the year, but the blossoms only last a couple days.

You can almost feel the velvety texture of the leaves. Beautiful plant.

Susan & Deaning: thanks for your comments! Yes, those leaves (and the flowers), have a fuzzy, velvety feel. The plant is well suited to a hot & dry climate, so they are very common here.

I really love these colors, Paul! They do look so soft and "hairy". The bokeh is wonderful in these shots!
