Heavy rains and flooding in the area last night, this morning the clouds cleared and we start a 2 week stay in this beautiful National Park called Zion.

So jealous Bob. What campground are you staying in? Inside the park I would guess.
We are staying at Watchman CG here in the park. No water or sewer at sites, but there is 30 amp service. It is booked through October according to the website. We made our reservations 6 months ago..

Man I need to get there, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for taking a look Larry, lots of tourists here right now, I would love to visit after the first snow. I think even the lodge is booked up.

Incredible sights!!! Bob, the colors here are so vibrant and beautiful!! I really enjoy seeing the world through your lens.
We really had some beautiful weather today and it is expected to stay the same for the next 10 days. Temps are about 88 during the day and 60 at night. Glad you have enjoyed viewing the area, more photos to come as we visit more of the park. Thanks Bob

I hiked up to Observation Point - 4-plus miles - for the awesome vista. I did not get that red cliff shot, though.
Oh, I remember your thread, great views but you really had to hike to get them. Thanks for hiking for us, I'll just stay on the easy trails and take photos, much easier.

Awesome! I can't believe all the shades of colors in those mountains. What a view to wake up to!
It is the sandstone Stan, the colors change as the light does. Really should be seen in person and another place to put on your list.

Thanks for the kind words and taking a look, we will be here for awhile, so more to come as we travel throughout the park. I hope I don't wear my camera out.
