Close, shooting thru window using tripod - maybe 8 feet from Goldfinch....

Nice shot Bill, I like the colors. If I might make one suggestion it would be to clone out the tail feathers of the other birds on the right as well as the upper half of the feeder.

Yes, the Tamron 70-300. Dark background probably prevented CA...

How did you know this? Educated guess? I looked at the Exif using Opanda, and didn't see anything. I am always curious which lens was used when posters don't give that info up front.

Sorry about that. Guess I'm spoiled. I use FireFox with the PhotoMe extension. Right-clicking on the photo will tell you, among other things, the lens used. Except for indoor shots, I use the Tamron exclusively.

Thanks, I have FireFox and PhotoMe, but haven't been using them -- might just give a shot.
