Little too windy today to really enjoy being out! Just playing with lenses and such! Found a Honeysuckle that looked interesting and while photographing the flower a little ant appeared so in true paparazzi fashion I took his picture.







Thought these Stamens look sorta like golf putters.



This little wild flower was very tiny! No idea what it is, but it's small.....


The little blue blossoms are about the size of the ant - perhaps a touch smaller.

Good question....

My Basic Biology course is only 44 years old.... So if the Stamen/Anther is the golf putter, then the ball must be the Stigma? The Stigma is the lime green thingys. How's that for SYA?



One thing odd I noticed about this particular Honeysuckle....no smell! I love the smell of Honeysuckle, and you can always tell when one is around the yard blooming. This one had zero fragrance. No bees either! Course the wind may have them grounded today?
