A rainy day in New Brunswick
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 02-02-2008, 11:21 AM

This was on the way home, our last day in New Brunswick and there was an almost steady drizzle but the colors were out of this world, far better than I was able to capture them.

Comments are always appreciated so let me know what you think.

They're all good. But, number four is a real eye catacher. Number five is quite nice as well.

Terrific colors (colours)! The last 2 look almost HDR. Are they?

Thank you Ed, like I said it's nowhere near what it looked like in real life.

Take care, Heinrich

Hi Tom and thank you, they are not HDR just regular PP in CS3. Due to the overcast and rainy conditions the light was real soft and even but needed a boost in constrast in PP.

Take care, Heinrich

Nice series Heinrich. The 4th is very good. Almost looks like the Sussex area or the Saint John river valley. Fall was very colourfull this year.

Hi Peter and thank you, it was somewhere along # 2 in other words the Saint John River Valley. Exactly where I do not remember, take care

Beautiful images Heinrich. I know what you mean about the colours though. We drove through the Rockies in the Fall of 2006 and the colours were breathtaking to the eye in places. Took a lot of shots around the Revelstoke area especially. The developed shots were good but I don't think any camera ultimately can do reality full justice.

Thank you Paul, 2 1/4 slide film used to do a reasonable job.

Take care, Heinrich

All these colors popping in the mix with the dark gray sky - one and five if I had to choose, but all nicely done!
