At least I got top billing over the dogs... when I saw the title I expected to be a small picture on the last page somewhere.

These are great. Excellent use of light, and the focus/composition is spot on. Well done.

I thought of so many things to write, but I feel kind this day and will say that is a handsome photo of Tripper.

Hey Tess,

I would try converting 1 & 2 to black and white. I find the color in Norm's portrait distracting but it may work very well in a monotone. Just a suggestion.

Thanks so much bluestringer. I like the portraits better than the sunsets, so I was very pleased to read your comments.

Thank you Marcus, I always appreciate suggestions and critique. I gave the conversion a try and they both look very nice as a black and white.

some really nice light you've caught there, jokes aside they are all good portraits, I can't guess what Norms thinking but I think the shots of the dogs all say something of their personality.
cheers

That subtle slightly orange glow adds a lot to the shots.

thank you CeeCee! Yes, the doggies show such character in photos! Old Dreamer moved but I thought it was quite a funny shot. Thanks for the nice comments!

Thank you eaglem, I often find if I turn my back on the sunset I get some extraordinary photos because of the light.

I don't know. I'm sure they look great in black and white, but I really love the warm tones. Looks like perfect golden evening light to me. All the shots are beautifully done, Tess! You have quite the brood there! And that final shot is just gorgeous!
