Landscape Blue Lagoon

Something amazing to see around every corner, it seems. This is the Blue Lagoon, in the southwestern part of the country.

Amazing water color! I wonder how many countries have a 'Blue Lagoon?' I know Italy does. I am headed to the Blue Lagoon on Turkey's Lycian coast next month, although I'm not sure how blue it will look in late October.

Beautiful shade of blue. A shade you don't see except in glacial waters. TFS.

... or in thermal springs. In this case the water is actually wastewater from a geothermal power plant. It's clean water (we swam in it) but has a high sulfur content that you can really smell.

reminiscent of some of the ponds in Yellowstone, but of course not as hot. Another beautiful photo from you.

Thanks Bob. The water was very pleasant, around 100 degs. We swam around in it for about an hour.
