My little brother C&C
Posted By: Tyler, 02-02-2008, 07:37 PM

Hes 2 years younger than me. This was taken while at my grandma's house in Charlotte. I was standing on top of a brick wall outside. I used my trusty K100D and Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 for this shot. Let me know what you think. Flickr did a horrible job compressing this one.

It is I like the relaxed expression he has on his face, yet a concious look.

The pic looks pretty good!

You may want to brighten up the eyes just a tad to make the pic more striking, but thats just my personnal preference

Tyler, I ain't very good at making critical comments of other people's images but when it comes to my own, I am a PRO.

Others might be more willing to make comments if this was posted in or moved to the Critique section of the forum.

All said, I think it is a good portrait of your brother. I like the angle and the dead-on-type shot as opposed to the "posed". I do think however, there is too much "blue" reflected in the eyes - perhaps an adjustment could help.

Hope it helps.

Hi Tyler, don't be so impatient and no it's not perfect but pretty good :-) Here is sort of my version, I did not try and fix the blown high light on the nose just did some WB and color adjustments,

Take care, Heinrich

play using the saturation/tone slider for the purple/magenta
