Kolob Canyon
Photo Location: Utah

To visit this canyon which is part of Zion NP, you must get off at Exit 40 on the I-15 and take the 5 mile scenic drive where there are several trails and many turnouts for those photo opportunities.

Heinrich, when we started up the road to view the canyon, this is the first thing we saw. Had to stop the car and get out and take a photo right there, we had an extra clear day and I think the CPL I was using did enhance the colors.

I don't think you can go wrong when photographing sandstone CC, it has a real beauty to it and such wonderful formations.

Charlie, we are spending the kids inheritance as fast as possible and burning a lot of fuel as we travel..

thank you Susan, we have been at Zion a couple of times, but never came up to Kolob. Quite a few box canyons, I'll upload some other pics when I get organized.

glad you like the photo, I used a CPL for this shot, it bumped up the blues a bit
