Excellent shots Brendan, All are great the second shot is my favorite of course I've seen this one before. the first is an excellent shot. the weather and the body language is just fantastic great capture. Your forth( I would presume this is the young lady you told me about in Gettysburg) Stunning shot, makes for good composition.

Goos shooting.
Cheers: David

Wow! Pictures from Brendan!

Happy New Year!

These are fantastic. The one of the girl with the flags is my favorite.

The one of Barbaro is not showing up for me, but I'm not sure I could handle seeing that one if it is actually of him after he broke his leg. That is one amazing recovery story, but the actual event still breaks my heart.

Great work Brendan. All are very nice. I would say number 1 or 2 would be my favorite of the bunch. Nice work and this year should be better.

You have an eye for people pictures. The body language in the first three shots is very expressive. Hard to choose a favorite and the lady golfer is just plain pleasant, happy feelings in her face and body stance. Thanks for posting.

Thank you all. Later I will post a few more.
All of these have been taken when I have been shooting for papers (hence how I get some of the axcess) but anyone can do these. Just learn to compose, predict, and use a pentax !

Oh and yes all of these have been retouched. Mostly if they look a lil oversharpened that is due I used the "print" file that would be sent to the newspaper printer (has different peramiters for producing a god print on newspaper)

great shots Brendan!

Now I do know you take pictures, great ones at that...

The fooball and the little girl are eye-catching, and the others are great too.

Cheers,
Marc

These are excellent, and they show so much mood. My favorite is the first one by far. Glad to see some photos again.

That first shot is a grabber. I love the mud and hard rain. Hate to admit this but I wouldn't have the guts to take my new camera out there in that mess.

The fourth (golfer) is a sweet image and the girls expression is terrific.

Caught at just the right moment. Shots like these give meaning to the word "capture."

Wow! They're all great but that first one is spectacular! You should consider submitting that one to a sports magazine. Congratulations on a great year with your camera.

Thanks everyone. I will be posting a few more soon (working on them now.) All of these photos have been published if you were wondering.
Also to Photodan, I really dont have a choice of rain or sun. Its money or no money (in other words I shoot/take the assignment or not. I didnt know it was going to pore when I took it a day ahead of time)
