Portraits at Sunset 2 - Waiting
Lens: Pentax 18 - 135, Tamron 90 2.8 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Algonquin Park, Ontario,Canada

I think even more than sunset shots I like taking pictures of the people watching the sun set. Here are a few from last night. The first image I find especially touching. It is not an easy hike up to the ridge, even for those of us who are able-bodied and with good vision. Plus, people had to make their way down in the dark. But being there, up high on that ridge overlooking this vast wilderness as the sun settled behind the horizon, must have felt worth the effort.

I call this set "Waiting"

Great photos Tess! All are well done, but, like you, that first one really "says" something.

Nicely captured. The first is poignant for sure but the third won me over. Great story and images.

Thank you so much for having a look and commenting CJ! The first one is the only one with some edge to it... I am glad you thought it had a narrative attached.

Thank you Susan. That couple are sitting in the clouds. I thought he made a good character shot.

Thanks for the nice comment Heinrich! It was a lovely (albeit cold) evening!

I do really like the third. A moment of quiet contemplation.
