Sorry for the noob question but did you use some kind of filter to get that stark contrast in the sky and water? If so, which?

I have used the Topaz Adjust plug-in to edit the image. Topaz Adjust - Create Stunning, Single-Image HDR Photos That POP With Dynamic Color, Detail and Exposure.

This is a great photo - really captures that "end-of-season" feel that we experienced when we lived in Michigan. Around here, the boating season is more-or-less year around, so the melancholy that accompanied autumn is now absent.
