Rooftop sauna
Lens: DA15ltd, DA40ltd Camera: K10D Photo Location: Tampere

A few pics from my recent outing with a local camera course. The destination was a sauna with executive premises on top of one of the hotels in the center of Tampere. A few pics from the inside, and also a few of the view. Feel free to comment, there are a few more in my flickr

I was struggling with the colours a bit as we were shooting mainly through windows...

I like the perspective in the first one and the PP in B&W suits the last one nicely. Well done.

The first one is awesome, but I am intrigued by the rails. What are they for?

Thank you.
I believe they are for cleaning the windows. As it's so high up and safety regulations get stricter they have to have a kind of a cart from which they clean the windows. And I guess they use it for other maintenance as well..

The bathroom shot works very well.
Very Hopperesque.
It's the kind of shot that is so easy to get wrong especially in PP.

Very cool pictures, but coming from Toronto where the CN tower dominates the sky line, it makes me wonder, does every city have a CN tower now? My first reaction was "what runs on the rails too, but then the tower took over. Very nice shots by the way. Sharp and engaging.

Thanks, I did pay close attention not to get overboard with the pp, but still needed to get that mood and the reflections look good.

This is actually a purpose built (1970) sightseeing tower with a café and a restaurant on top. Of course there are some broadcasting as well.. Thanks for the input, it was really hard to get the colors right on the outside images.
