I'm Still Lookin'.....
Lens: 43Ltd Camera: K5 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

Haven't posted much here lately, my new little studio along with my other duties have severely limited my time, but I still drop in and see what you guys are posting....and as usual, you are posting some mighty fine stuff!

My Mom came down Sunday to see my new little studio.....she approved! I convinced her to pose for a couple of shots.

She just had a birthday, and at 86 she is still going strong!

Love ya Mom!

Regards! ....Yes, Otis is fine and running the place here when I am gone. I came in yesterday to find he had opened a gambling hall and topless "Gentlemen Squirrel" club on my rear deck. I had to hurry and shut it down before Mrs Rupert came in from work.

Man - looks like you're making good use of that studio. What a delightful portrait - your mom looks like one smart lady! I'm glad to hear that Otis is still at the top of his form.

Rupert, this is a wonderful image of your mom, it needs to be printed large and hung on a wall.

I have to agree with everyone, this is a wonderful photo Rupert and thank you for sharing with us. The K-5, 43mm ltd is a great combo for portraits you have shown, and that great lighting at the studio really did the job.

Well done Rupert ! Wishing you all the success (or at least enough to be self sufficient and perhaps fund a little LBA / CBA).

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the kind words, and comments on my Mom! She is a great Mom, and I was fortunate to capture her as I saw her, and know her.........and on top of a ton of other wonderful things about my Mom, she is a great cook! Homemade yeast rolls from her great grannies recipe will melt in your mouth......and we have all seen her delicious cherry pies. Just a few weeks away from my birthday, and I am going to request two of them this year...one for me and one for you guys!

Best Regards!

Get your whipped cream or ice cream ready!

That is the most antagonistic post I have ever seen! Gimme pie NOW! Jeez now I want key Lime Pie, I don't have a sweet tooth but going to the US in 2005 had one in key West. I tried to master it and after 15+ tries got told to STOP.

Beautiful woman Rupert and you captured her well. Now, the pie, why ruin something that great looking with ice cream or whipped cream? It will stand on its own. Pass me a piece please!

That jacket just perfectly set off her hair. She's a gorgeous old lady your Mom and you can tell her I said so. :P I sincerely hope I look that good if I make it to her age. Nice shot, very nice.

Thanks once again guys/girls! I know my Mom would appreciate the compliments and bake each of you a pie of your choice! She had a rough life....raising a son like me, even Otis is easier to handle than I was!

Cherry pie is my Mom's favorite too, but she can bake most any kind of pie and they are all delicious! Then we go to the cheesecakes.......so delicious I can't even begin to describe them!

Regards!
