South Georgia Buzzard

The buzzards are back. Yea, plenty of purple fringing and they are not near as good as Susan's bird captures. But what the heck, maybe I can at least get some negative comments...............

Well, I would say they are lovely but buzzards just aren't. They look like Woodstorks on a bad day. Nice captures though. I especially like the one in flight.

Thanks Susan. You're right, they are ugly birds, but I guess they serve their purpose. There's been a big redtail hawk hanging around the same dead oak tree, but it doesn't sit still long enough for me to get a decent shot yet.

Good job on the in flight shot! I've got an FA 80-320mm as well, but mine doesn't seem to have anywhere near as bad PF problems, especially since I see you backed off to 280mm, and stopped down to f/8 too. Is yours one of the black copies?
