Bees in flight
Lens: Sigma 70-300mm APO macro Camera: Pentax k-r Photo Location: Coquitlam, B.C. Aperture: F8

With the weather getting colder, I'm having a hard time feeding my addiction to shooting dragonflies in flight. I did notice this little guy buzzing around though, and decided I'd try get a few pictures of him instead. Thanks for looking!

I've taken a lot of macro photos of bees and insects on flowers, but have never been able to get quality shots like these in flight. Great job, it inspired me to keep trying. thanks Bob

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Ever since I stopped trusting the AF, I've found my keeper ratio going up and up Also, it's a much more serene experience, not having to listen to it.

Excellent captures. I've never really got a good shot of bees in flight, they are just too fast. Well done.

Good shots. They are hard to get in flight but you nailed it.

Brilliant. It is amazing anyone can capture them in flight. The second one is my favorite but you nailed two of them. Good job.

Jeez guys, you're making me blush here!

In all seriousness, thanks for the comments I've learned a heck of a lot this summer, both from snooping the forums and from getting out there and shooting a ton of pictures, and your kind words are a balm for the nagging suspicion in the back of my mind that I could be doing something more productive with my time
