Mystery lady
Lens: 18-135 WR Camera: Pentax K-30 Photo Location: Auckland, New Zealand ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F4.5

I saw this girl sitting on a side bench when I was waiting in town. She was sitting on her own and while on a fairly quiet part of the street, she really stood out to me. She didn't 'fit in' with the rest of the city crowd. Everyone was moving so quickly and she just sat there relaxed, isolated from the city madness. I thought she was interesting. I wanted to take a shot of her but she saw me walk past earlier and I wasn't sure how pointing the camera straight at her would go down. Instead, I approached her and asked whether I could take a photo of her. In her heavy European accent she approved and seemed very excited and flattered. When trying to look as she did before, she got a bit embarrassed and then shy while she tried to look away and pose for me. I told her that she should do exactly the opposite and look straight at me. I like the result . I hope you do too!

This could make a good book cover. There is a story there for sure.

I like both the composition and the tone of the image.
