The Hepworth Gallery. Wakefield

Now this is not my favorite building, I find it grey and drab, but upon passing today I noticed these beautiful leaves had fallen from two trees outside. I like the contrast between the dull grey of the structure and the green and red of nature.

We could have seen each other, I was the one laying on the grass outside to get the low perspective for this shot.

The contrast between vibrant color and slate gray along with the focal point make this shot captivating - very clever.

This is a great shot. How did you get the shallow depth of field if you used F16 as Fstop?

nicely photographed, be careful laying on the ground, they might think you are homeless.

The camera was on the ground and the leaves were around 2 -3 inches from thecamera, the focal point was the sculpture, so the close foreground was blurred.

Bob speaks from experience!

Fascinating image. I can see what you mean about the building; no mistaking that brutalist concrete style. But you've provided not just contrast and color with the blurred leaves; it also miniaturizes the building and makes it seem less forbidding, almost friendly.
