Nature My one and only fall color shot of the season

My one and only fall color shot of the season · 03:15 PM

Sitting in woods with the tripod mounted 560mm waiting for the last Warbler wave of the season.
Looked down at my feet instead and saw this. Snapped on the 200 buck tammy zoom I was carrying in my pocket and got this.
I think I got it about right. The lighting and color was very complex and subtle. A light dusting of rain had really brought out the color.

The textures in the wood on top almost looks like fish scales. Nicely spotted.
