End of theTrail
Lens: 50-200mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Valley of Fire, Nevada
Posted By: Bob Harris, 10-14-2012, 07:43 PM

We took a trail at the park and our trip ended here at this rugged landscape. The photo shows that not everything at Valley of Fire is red sandstone. We returned to the Jeep, happy with the photos we got.

you're right, it does have the same coloring, I couldn't remember where I had seen the yellows before. That's it.

You've been to Iceland and never to Valley of Fire in Nevada. Vegas is only about 50 miles from VF

Very nice Bob! Do you always winter over in the Desert Southwest?

If you ever visit the old Anasazi sites, I'd like to see your take on them, photographically speaking of course .

Looks like that might be on the road to Silica Dome? I only went perhaps 1/2 way (in a Celica...) , to where the chocolate and vanilla mixed :-)

Exactly Kyle, here is another photo of the area showing the mixture of sandstone colors.
