From the wharf to the big city
Lens: 18-135 WR Camera: Pentax K-30 Photo Location: Auckland, New Zealand ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/4s Aperture: F3.5
Posted By: Mr008, 10-15-2012, 02:59 AM

Got this shot the other night, I didn't spend as long as I wanted to post-processing it, but I think the result still looks good. I was very impressed with the in-body IS! I shot this handheld leaning on the wharf and the actual shutter speed was 1/3 (but the drop-down menu won't give it as an option so I chose 1/4); kudos to the Pentax engineers! Hope you guys like it

Lovely colours and nice composition. My only complaint is that the horizon is tilted and you might want to try to fix this. Either that, or it is the angles of the hand rails in contrast to the rest of the shot that is making my brain slightly whacky.

You are right, the horizon is marginally tilted to the right! Good eye! I will fix it on my computer, but since I am linking the photos from my 500px account and as I don't want to reupload the same photo, it will remain the same here. Thank you for your feedback!

I too like the DoF, lines and deep colors. Amazing shapness for such a slow exposure.
