Some bird photos
Posted By: Mr Hyde, 02-06-2008, 08:57 PM

I put up a bird feeder in my backyard about a week ago. Today I had a chance to sit outside and take a few shots of the birds visiting the feeder. The lighting was terrible. It was very grey and overcast verging on dark. I made some adjustments but I'm still not totally happy. what do you guys think? Oh, and specifically about the cardinal in the bush, are the small branches too distracting?

I was using a Sigma 50-500mm (Bigma) for all the shots posted

I'm assuming that due to the lack of coments then I guess these were not comment worthy. Thanks anyway for looking.

Both the cardinal poses are interesting especially the second. The branches/twigs are perhaps a little distracting in 3 but it's tough going getting clear shots and I'd be happy getting a shot like yours. Natural shots of birds in their environment always look better in my view. What's the name of the bird on the feeder? You got great DOF with that one.

I believe the bird on the feeder is a Tufted Titmouse
