Algonquin - with homage to Norm and Tess
Lens: Pentax 15 and 21 DA LTDs Camera: Pentax K-01 Photo Location: Algonquin
Posted By: fotogaffer, 10-19-2012, 08:44 AM

HI All. I have been so busy at work lately and haven't had much time to post anything. But, my wife and I did get away to Algonquin at the start of October for nice weekend to take in the beautiful colours. Too bad the weather was mostly dreary, except for one sunny day. So, here are some pics!
Kept looking over my shoulder expecting to bump into Norm and Tess!! In fact, I didn't encounter another Pentax shooter the whole time and certainly not one with the much maligned K-01.

You sure made use of your sunny day. Gorgeous scenery and I know Tess and Norm will be proud. #1 and 4 are awesome.

Very nice colours...I recognize some places. It seems the colours this year were really fantastic, thanks for sharing.

Nice, don't know why the K-1 is much maligned if this is what it can do.

Nice work. I especially like No 1 and 3. Did you see the boat just below the rapids at Oxtongue Rapids?

Excellent series. I'm kinda partial to #1 but they're all great.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and looking at the photos. Yes JMR, I saw the aluminum boat hung up on the rocks at Oxtongue Rapids. I didn't think it was especially photogenic though!

Very nice, you get the Norm and Tess stamp of approval even if you did use a much maligned K-01. ( I wanted one, Tess woudln't let me buy it.)

.

Dude you have to phone us and come over for a pop, or meet somewhere (like the portage store, they have pop and ice cream)... the park is over 7000 square kilometres , we can't be every where every day.

Thanks for the stamp of approval. Maybe next time, we usually go up each winter for some snowshoeing!! Nothing like the quiet of the forest after a nice fall of fresh snow.

Lovely selection of colours and a great landscape to show them off.
